Voted at Consulate General in Shanghai

If you are living abroad, it's complicated to vote. In my case,

1) Submit a notification of moving out at the town office in the last city where I live in Japan
2) Submit a residence notification at the Consulate General in Shanghai on weekdays 9:30 - 17:00. Registrar my name in the oversea voting list at the same time
3) About 1 month later, go to the Consulate General to get the certification of oversee voting. It's on weekdays, too.
4) The official announcement of election. You can select from the candidates (for single-seat constituency) and parties (proportional representation) in the area of 1). Check the information with bulletin on line etc.
5) Go to the Consulate General and vote about a week before the election day.

I must go to government offices 4 times in total! I hope my brethren in Japan would enjoy the simple procedure that you can vote at the nearest elementary school.
